SNV Lao PDR is looking for a Lao national:

 External Fund Raising & Communication Officer

Based in Vientiane Capital

 (Local contract)

SNV is a Netherlands based development organisation committed to eliminating poverty and inequity. SNV provides advisory services to leading public and private clients to effect innovative and strategic solutions that drive growth and performance while generating jobs, income and improved access to basic services for the low-income segments of society. SNV focuses on the agriculture, renewable energy, and water & sanitation sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Focal person for all Business Development activities in  SNV Lao PDR
  • Research Funding opportunities. Proactively research and review potential new funding opportunities and donors.
  • Hands on support in proposal writing
  • Member of extended Management Team; providing information as requested
  • Manage and maintain business development tools, e.g Salesforce
  • Identify potential partner relationships
  • Identify potential funding relationships
  • Support SNV staff in meetings with partners and donors
  • Assist SNV staff in researching potential donors and partners,
  • Actively participate in SNV sector meetings
  • Maintain the SNV Lao PDR Project References database. 
  • Upgrade CV database.
  • Serve as contact person with regional office for all business development administrative issues. 
  • Work closely with regional Business Development manager to assure alignment and clear communications between Lao PDR and region
  • Maintain good relations with local media and clients/Government organisations.
  • Contribute to partnership and resource mobilisation efforts (information materials, PR, communication, branding, etc.)

Candidate profile

  • University Degree in International Development, Communications or similar  
  • Previous experience with development work an advantage 
  • Previous experience with fund raising an advantage
  • Previous experience in using Salesforce software an advantage 
  • High level of English written and oral skills
  • Ability to work with Windows related software
  • Good analytical skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Work well in team settings
  • Good networking skills

Contract Duration:

SNV offers a one-year contract with the possibility of extension and a competitive salary package.
