Qualifications:

• Preferably a degree in a field related to business and administrative management
• Very good in spoken and written English, French and Chinese would be advantageous
• Ability to work effectively with different levels of people and within a team environment
• Computer literate in Word and Excel
• Professional attitude in all interactions

Information Systems Manager – National (36 person months)

Qualifications:
Academic qualifications of at least diploma level, but preferably higher, in the areas of either agriculture; land use planning or geography etc. with five years experience in participatory development work in Lao PDR of which at least three years has been working directly with smallholder farmers. Good communication skills (written and oral) and be able to lead and motivate local staff.

• He/she will assist in the preparation of district land use and land suitability maps identifying key determinants of land categorization
• Maintain a current database of ANR information for the province identifying special purpose areas
• Develop a mechanism for the review of conditions of locally approved concessions against terms and conditions of the concessions
• Assist in monitoring and evaluation to developing indicators to measure the overall impact of the Project through the land use planning initiatives
• Assist in the preparation (at a scale of 1:5,000) of special land use maps

The work will have an orientation on the management of information rather than data processing.
