We are currently hiring for the position of Structural Engineer. The ideal
candidate for this position should possess a strong structural design and architecture back ground. Solid knowledge in steel, wood, concrete, and masonry are essential skills. Responsibilities include assessment, planning, and execution of structural designs on a wide range of projects. Majority of work will be designing or consulting on the installation of Vertical wind turbines on commercial building projects including retrofit applications. Travel and field will be necessary. A registered PE license is required. Must have experience in:

Qualifications also include:
~ BS or Masters in Structural and Architectural Engineering.
~ SE (Structural Engineer), PE (Professional Engineer).
~ Excellent working knowledge of Building Analysis and Design Software for concrete, steel and wood, such as;
WinSTRUDL, CadrePro, STRAP or similar. Working knowledge in Auto-CAD-(AutoStructural), Solid Works
and/or Pro-E a plus. Micro Soft Project
~ Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft EXCELL.
~ Investigations experience.
~ Excellent communication and organization skills is an absolute must have.
~ Strong leadership skills.
~ Willingness to brainstorm with dynamic engineering and manufacturing team.
~ Out of the box thinking required.
Duties will include:
~ Coordinate all work of Project Engineers, Design Engineers and CAD Technicians from the initial planning stages through final construction.
~ Oversee all aspects of multiple projects insuring on-time and under budget project completion
~ Author and manage turbine integration design book for best practices and applications.
~ Work directly with internal and external engineering and integration teams for the installation of residential and commercial vertical wind turbines.
~ Review of plans, specifications and special provisions, Tracking of non conformance and problem resolution of retrofits during fabrication and construction, Investigation of problems and coordinating solution alternatives.
~ Representation at project meetings, Attendance at pre-construction, pre-fabrication and construction meetings.
~ Review of contractor submittals including QC plans, Supervision and general direction of the owner's inspection team for the assigned project(s), Conducting audits / interviews / inspections of material suppliers to document their ability to produce the required quality of materials.
~ Read and understand building codes, construction specifications and drawings.
